The Jungla carpet was our successful project in which we tried to combine pictorial art with furniture and furnishing fabrics.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Collaborating with the painter Giuseppe Ajmone our designers have managed to create a unique carpet, with quality materials and with elements of color that have respected the chromatic sensitivity of the painter.<\/p>\n

This effort of ours was recognized with the Compasso d’Oro<\/strong> Award edition of New York in 1956.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

From the inspiration of the past comes the new Jungla\u00ae<\/sup> sustainable fabric by PugiRG<\/h5>

The idea was to use \u00a0the peculiarity of the Prato district in regenerating wool fabrics at 360 \u00b0, first \u00a0by recreating high-performance yarns as if they were produced with virgin materials, then with a finishing cycle that confers \u00a0resistance, softness, breathability, resistance to wear, UV rays, able to pass several fire behavior tests thanks to the intrinsic fireproof characteristic of wool.<\/p>\n

To combine the past with the present we have created each color combination \u00a0inspired directly by the carpets of the original Jungla\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0line of the 50s<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Step 1 | Collection<\/div>
It all starts with the collection of noble fabrics and knitted garments from GRS traced and certified supply chain<\/h6>

\nThe use of recycled wool materials allows to drastically reduce the use of virgin wool, dyes and energy, in order to create a new carded yarn for the realization of luxurious sustainable fabrics. In Jungla\u00ae<\/sup> fabric, 50% of the material is recycled from the high range.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The recycled fabrics are mostly pre-consumer of the Prato textile district<\/strong> but also used fabrics and clothing.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Step 2 | Sorting<\/div>
The selection of materials is made by color, composition, and fineness of the fibers.<\/h6>

The materials divided in this way are pressed into bales and sent after to the next processing stage.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Step 3 | Preparation (mixed)<\/div>
The bales of the selected rags then move on to the mechanical fraying and washing phase.<\/h6>

In this way, a new fiber is regenerated and it is ready to be spun again without the addition of dyes and chemicals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Different shades of recycled wool are weighed in specific percentages and then mixed together with a part of virgin fibers<\/strong> to amalgamate them and reach the inimitable Melange<\/strong> effect of our regenerated items. The result is a new recycled wool fiber.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Step 4 | Spinning<\/div>
The regenerated fibers, through carded spinning, take on new life<\/i><\/h6>

From the mixing of the bales of the various selected colors, we move on to carding<\/strong> and forming the thread<\/strong> with machines called \u2018\u2019ring\u2019 <\/em>or \u2018\u2019selfacting\u2019\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Spinning binds the fibers through a twist<\/strong> that begins in a mild way to assort, \u00a0the friction between the fibers given by the torsion is the strength of the yarn that begins to \u00a0again. <\/strong>From the spindle we pass to the cones joining the yarn with splitcer knots invisible to the eye and not perceptible to the touch.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Step 5 | Warping<\/div>
From the rock to the formation of the warp beam<\/i>, ready to be put on the loom<\/h6>

The spools are placed on cannon and warped with fully electronic machines able to equalize the tension of the threads and avoid defects on the fabric.<\/p>\n

The result is the warp done and ready to be put on a loom for the manufacture of the fabric.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Step 6 | Knotting<\/div>
Before starting the frame, the knots come into play annodini<\/i><\/h6>

The knotting of warp threads is carried out by our craftsmen with the help of machines that reproduce junction<\/strong> through a knot between the threads already in the loom and the next canvas.<\/p>\n

Then the knots are passed through the comb and we are ready for the birth of the fabric<\/strong> through the cross between warp and weft<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Step 7 | Weaving<\/div>
Weaving is the most romantic phase of the process, threads and wefts meet and give life to a new fabric<\/h6>

The warp threads are crossed to the weft<\/strong> and approached by the comb that closes them in a strong embrace.<\/p>\n

In the case of regenerated fabrics, fibers already used continue their life by crossing others, forming a new precious fabric.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Step 8 | Mending and control<\/div>
The fabric has taken shape and now passes to the care and attention from our mending<\/i><\/h6>

With accuracy and precision<\/strong> the knots and any imperfections are arranged manually by very expert hands, \u00a0our mending.<\/p>\n

At the end of the mending \u00a0phase ,the fabric is perfectly uniform<\/strong> and ready for the finishing phase.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Step 9 | Finishing<\/div>
The finishing<\/i>, the magical touch of the Prato district in the finishing of \u2018\u2019Jungla\u00ae<\/sup>\u2019\u2019 fabric<\/h6>

The finishing phase of the regenerated fabrics gives the appearance, the hand of the fabric and quality<\/strong> performance thanks to a series of mechanical processes performed by highly experienced and highly specialized staff.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Step 10 | Final tests and controls<\/div>
Before leaving us, our fabrics are subjected to rigorous controls to ensure the highest quality<\/h6>

The final check is performed on 100% of the product and concerns the aesthetic, tactile part, color resistance to rubbing. A very important thing is the correspondence<\/strong> of the batch color with the original sample.<\/strong><\/p>\n
